Damascus, July 21 (SANA)TheGeneral Authority for Supply and Provisionreceived on Tuesday a high-level delegation from theEuropean Unionand the Support for Improvement in Governance and Management (SIGMA) mission.

Discussions covered several strategic areas, including a comprehensive review and assessment of the public procurement and government tendering system, as well as ways to modernize the legal and regulatory framework to promote transparency, efficiency and good governance in public procurement.

The two sides also explored prospects for cooperation in digital transformation and the development of a unified public procurement system in line with international best practices, with the aim of improving the efficiency of government procedures.
