President Emmanuel Macron visited the Asterya child support center in Paris this Tuesday, July 21. This center is the first health center in France entirely dedicated to children entrusted to child welfare (ASE). This visit highlighted a model of care based on the guarantee that each child can benefit from coordinated and comprehensive care for their somatic and psychological health, whatever their history and place of life. The Head of State praised the commitment of the professionals mobilized in favor of child protection during an exchange with the teams.

He also met children in care and foster families. This exchange was an opportunity to recall the importance of collective action, carried out by the various health and medico-social actors, to better identify situations of vulnerability and guarantee the continuity of care pathways for the most fragile children. The State is fully committed to strengthened child protection aimed at allowing each protected child to be recognized, cared for and supported in all dimensions of their reconstruction.
