The Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the relations between Iraq and Türkiye and the many shared interests that underpin them, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation in the economic and investment sectors in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples. The Prime Minister noted that his upcoming visit to the Republic of Türkiye will witness the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding that will broaden the horizons of bilateral cooperation across several vital sectors. The meeting also reviewed the latest developments regarding the Development Road Project and its economic and developmental significance for Iraq, Türkiye, and the wider region. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi directed that a clear mechanism be established for financing and implementing the project, ensuring the commencement of practical steps according to defined timelines, given its importance as a strategic pillar for strengthening economic integration and regional connectivity.
