ITLA alcanza cifra histórica con más de 33,000 solicitudes para sus becas de capacitación tecnológica
Santo Domingo.– The Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA), directed by its rector, engineer Jimmy Rosario, reached a historical record by receiving 33,274 applications for participation in its Continuing Education programs, a figure that reflects the growing interest of Dominicans in strengthening their skills in technology, innovation, languages and areas linked to digital transformation.
The institution reported that the academic offering in technological areas led the demand for this call. Among the programs of greatest interest were the Introduction to Cybersecurity Workshop, the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence with Power BI.
Likewise, courses such as Basic AutoCAD, Cybersecurity Fundamentals (CCST Cybersecurity), Microsoft SQL Server, Fortigate Security and Infrastructure (NSE4), Workshop on Basic Concepts of Information Networks and Project Management with Scrum and Agile Methodology were highlighted, which reaffirms the interest of the participants in specialized training in high-demand technological areas.
National reach through extensions and virtual modality
Regarding the modalities of participation, the Virtual Campus concentrated the largest number of applications, with 22,376, which allows citizens from different provinces of the country to access technological training programs without geographical limitations.
Among the extensions with the greatest demand, Santo Domingo Norte and Santo Domingo Este stand out, as the second with the highest number of registrations, followed by Cotuí, San Pedro de Macorís, Bonao, Santiago and Monte Plata. This demonstrates the national reach of ITLA's Continuing Education programs.
Likewise, significant participation was recorded from Moca, Nagua, San Francisco de Macorís, Pedernales and La Caleta, which indicates the interest of citizens from different regions in acquiring new skills and accessing opportunities for professional growth.
The ITLA Continuing Education call was available from July 7 to 17, corresponding to the period July-September 2026.
The academic proposal included a wide variety of diploma courses, courses and workshops in the areas of Software, Data Science, Information Networks, Cybersecurity, Multimedia, Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics, Project Management and Languages, aimed at strengthening the technical and professional skills of students, technicians and the general public.
ITLA's Continuing Education programs are designed to respond to the needs of the labor market, offering practical and specialized training in disciplines linked to innovation, technology, digital transformation and the skills of the future.
