Idlib, July 21 (SANA)A total of 314 displaced families, comprising 1,564 people, returned on Tuesday from camps in northern Syria to their home areas in southern Idlib as part of an ongoing voluntary return program coordinated byIdlib Governorateand humanitarian partners.

The convoy departed from 103 camps across Dana, Atmeh, Qah, Deir Hassan, Kelli, Sarmada and Harem, with families returning to the towns of Haas, Maaret Hurma, Kafr Nabl, Kafr Sajna, al-Habit, Khan Sheikhoun, Tarmala, Basqala and Kafr Rouma, while two families returned to Hama province.

Ahlam al-Rashid, director of Idlib’s Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, said the convoy was the tenth organized under the voluntary return initiative, adding that around 1,300 families remain on the waiting list and that additional return convoys are planned in the coming days.

The operation was organized under the supervision of Idlib Governorate and in coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, the Mazen Organization, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to support the safe and dignified return of displaced families.

Last week, another convoy carrying 77 families, or 349 people, returned from northern camps to southern Idlib under the same initiative.F.J.
