EU funding for improved practical training for special needs students
The call for proposals aims to improve conditions for the social inclusion of elementary and high school students with special needs who are enrolled in adapted educational programmes and in (post-)rehabilitation internships. It will support the establishment and development of adapted forms of practical training that will enable young people to acquire new knowledge, work skills, and practical experience.
The call for proposals will enhance opportunities for the more successful integration of special needs students into education, the workforce, and the broader social environment. Practical training will contribute to the development of their skills, greater independence, and a smoother transition into the labour market.
The call for proposals is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and will receive support from the European Social Fund Plus.
For the call for proposals, with a total value of €2 million, the European Social Fund Plus will contribute €800,000. The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth is expected to announce the call for proposals in the first half of August 2026.
