His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received, this morning, in his office at Lusail Palace, His Excellency Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Republic of Turkey.

At the beginning of the interview, His Excellency the Turkish Foreign Minister offered condolences to His Highness the Emir on the death of the late, God willing, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, praying to God Almighty that the deceased be filled with His vast mercy. For his part, His Highness the Emir expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his sincere feelings and sympathy.

The close cooperation relations between the two countries were also reviewed, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, most notably the developments in the region, especially the diplomatic efforts made and joint coordination to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, Head of the Amiri Diwan.
