Presidente Abinader encabeza reunión de seguimiento al Plan de Seguridad Ciudadana
Santo Domingo.-President Luis Abinader is currently leading the follow-up meeting to the Citizen Security Plan, with the purpose of evaluating the actions implemented and strengthening the strategies that are developed throughout the national territory to continue guaranteeing greater security, protection and tranquility to the population.
The work session takes place in the Officers' Club Room of the National Police Palace, where the authorities evaluate the actions carried out to date, the results achieved and the new measures that will be adopted to continue strengthening citizen security for the benefit of Dominicans.
The national prosecutor of Chile, Ángel Mauricio Valencia Vásquez, who visits the country at the invitation of the Public Ministry of the Dominican Republic, participates in this Monday's meeting as a special guest, within the framework of the cooperation actions that both institutions develop jointly.
The purpose of the visit is to learn about the good practices implemented by the Dominican Republic in terms of citizen security and crime prosecution, as well as to evaluate their possible application in the South American nation.
Accompanying the president are the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; the Minister of the Interior and Police, Faride Raful; the general commander of the Dominican Republic Air Force, pilot major general Floreal Tarcicio Suárez Martínez; the general director of the National Police, Major General Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz; the general director of Immigration, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester; the president of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa; the Vice Minister of the Presidency for Special Projects and Security Coordination, Roger G. Pujols; the executive commissioner for Police Reform, Luis Ernesto García Hernández, and the president of the Technical Commission for the Reform of the Educational System of the National Police, Mu-Kien Adriana Sang Ben.
Also participating are the president of the National Drug Council, Alejandro de Jesús Abreu; the director of the Military and Police Commission, Colonel Jorge Rivera López; the director of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (Digesett), General Pascual Cruz Méndez; the director of the Tourism Police (Politur), General Minoru Matsunaga; the executive director of the National 911 Emergency and Security Assistance System, pilot colonel Randolfo Rijo Gómez; the director of the School Police, General Francisco Osoria de la Cruz; the general director of Prisons, Roberto Santana, and the director of the National Directorate of Children, Adolescents and Families (Dinnaf), Olga Diná Llaverías.
Likewise, there is a commission of prosecutors made up of Ramona Santana, from San Cristóbal; Aura Luz García, from La Vega; Juan Antonio Mateo Ciprián, from María Trinidad Sánchez; Claudia Garrido, from La Altagracia; Suleyka Mateo, from San Pedro de Macorís, and Smaily Yamel Rodríguez, from Duarte.
Likewise, the titular prosecutors participate: Milcíades Guzmán, from Santo Domingo Este; Rosalba Ramos, from the National District; Eduard López, from Santo Domingo Oeste; Víctor Mejía, from Valverde; Zoila Agustina Rodríguez Ynfante, from Hermanas Mirabal; Wellington Matos Espinal, from Barahona; Rivas, from Espaillat; Quirsa Milagros Abreu, from Santiago, and Kevin Santana, from La Romana.
