Inapa inicia construcción del acueducto Damajagua-Maizal
Valverde.- The executive director of the National Institute of Potable Waters and Sewers (Inapa), Wellington Arnaud, gave the first word for the construction of the Damajagua-Maizal aqueduct, Valverde province, which will benefit some 14,513 inhabitants, with an investment of RD 444,601,681.6.
The work will strengthen the service and change the quality of life of the community members. Arnaud affirmed that this Government has provided drinking water to millions of homes, with a comprehensive vision, guaranteeing a better future for the people.
“If there is someone who has fulfilled what he has promised, especially things related to drinking water and sanitation, it is President Luis Abinader, who has taken care of investing the necessary resources for the execution of these works,” he said.
The project, which responds to a historic demand, benefits the sectors of Damajagua, Maizal, El Mango, Nuestra Señora de Fátima, Batey Libertad, El Palo and Ojo de Agua. It contemplates placing a connection, by means of a 36-inch pipe, with the Northeast Line aqueduct (Alino); rehabilitation of the pumping station; driving line and rapid filtration water treatment plant with a capacity of 70 liters per second.
Also drive line, construction of a reinforced concrete regulating tank and rehabilitation of the metal regulating tank, placement of 23, 245 meters of distribution networks and placement of 3,000 urban connections.
At the end, Arnaud proceeded with the formal swearing-in of the oversight commission made up of the governor, deputies, the mayor, councilors and presidents of neighborhood associations, who will ensure the smooth development of the work.

El proyecto, que da respuesta a una demanda histórica, beneficia a los sectores deDamajagua, Maizal, El Mango, Nuestra Señora de Fátima, Batey Libertad, El Palo y Ojo de Agua. Contempla colocación de empalme, por medio de tubería de 36 pulgadas, con elacueducto de la Línea Nororeste(Alino); rehabilitación del cárcamo de bombeo; línea de conducción y planta potabilizadora de filtración rápida con capacidad de70 litros por segundo. También línea de impulsión, construcción de depósito regulador de hormigón armado y rehabilitación del depósito regulador metálico, colocación de 23, 245 metros de redes de distribución y colocación de3000 acometidas urbanas. Al finalizar, Arnaud procedió con la juramentación formal de lacomisión de veeduríaintegrada por la gobernadora, diputados, el alcalde, regidores y presidentes de juntas de vecinos, quienes velarán por elbuen desarrollo de la obra.
