Kuwait City, July 20 (SANA)Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassanal-Shaibani, arrived inKuwaiton Monday to hold talks with Kuwaiti officials. He was received byKuwaiti Foreign MinisterSheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The visit comes as Syria and Kuwait continue efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation on issues of mutual interest.

Kuwait has been among the regional supporters ofSyria‘s reintegration into the international community. It welcomed U.S. President DonaldTrump‘s announcement that Washington had begun procedures to remove Syria from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, reaffirming its support for the Syrian government and its efforts to fulfill the Syrian people’s aspirations.

Kuwait has also repeatedly condemnedIsraeli military incursionsintoSyrian territory, stressing that such actions undermine efforts to preserve regional security and stability and violate international agreements, particularly the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
