Aleppo, July 20 (SANA)Aleppo International Airportreceived the first Flydubai passenger flight Monday, officially opening a new direct air route between the northern Syrian city and Dubai.

Airport officials said the new service is expected to improve travel options, support tourism and business activity, and strengthen Aleppo’s connections with regional and international destinations through Dubai.

Osama Taljo, director of the Aleppo-based aviation services company Seravia, said passengers would gain access to a wider network of global destinations served by flydubai, including Australia and East Asia.

He added that the arrival of additional airlines reflected growing confidence in Syria’s civil aviation sector and would improve passenger services and international connectivity.
