Al-Shaibani reaffirms Syria’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kuwait

Kuwait City, July 20 (SANA)Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassanal-Shaibanireaffirmed on Monday Syria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Kuwait, while expressing the country’s full solidarity with Kuwait and other Arab states in the face of the repeated Iranian attacks.

In a post on his X account, al-Shaibani said Syria is determined to further develop bilateral relations and expand cooperation in line with the aspirations of the two brotherly countries.

“We view Kuwait as an important regional actor and a key partner for Syria,” the minister said, reaffirming Syria’s commitment to broadening cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

Al-Shaibani also expressed Syria’s full solidarity with Kuwait and the rest of the Arab states amid the repeated Iranian attacks, wishing them continued security and stability.

The minister extended his appreciation to Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Sabah and Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber al-Sabah for their warm welcome and generous hospitality.

He also praised Kuwait’s longstanding humanitarian legacy and its honorable support for the Syrian people.

Earlier Monday, al-Shaibani arrived inKuwait, where he met the Crown Prince to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and review regional developments. He also held talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart, during which the two sides agreed to establish a joint higher coordination committee and reactivate existing joint committees to follow up on various areas of bilateral cooperation.
