Beirut, July 20 (SANA)Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for Lebanon during a phone call with Lebanese PresidentJoseph Aounon Monday, as the two leaders discussed regional developments and efforts to bolster security and stability.

According to a statement from the Lebanese presidency, the Saudi crown prince expressed support for the policies pursued by Aoun to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.

Mohammed bin Salmanalso reiterated Saudi Arabia’s readiness to assist Lebanon in areas identified as priorities by the Lebanese government.

Aoun thankedSaudi Arabiafor its continued backing ofLebanonand its efforts to promote peace and stability across the region, the statement said.

The call came during Aoun’s visit to Washington, where he met U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday before talks with U.S. President Donald Trump scheduled for Tuesday.
