Occupied Jerusalem, July 19 (SANA)The Palestinian Presidency on Sunday warned of escalating attacks byIsraeli settlers, saying they were being carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, and called for immediate international action to pressure Israel to halt its policies.

According to the Palestinian news agencyWAFA, presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said the ongoing war against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, required urgent international intervention to consolidate the ceasefire and begin implementing the second phase ofU.N. Security CouncilResolution 2728.

Abu Rudeineh said the Israeli government bore full responsibility for the settler attacks, accusing it of providing settlers with protection, support and impunity.

He also urged theUnited Statesto take immediate and meaningful steps to pressure Israel to end its policies and ensure the ceasefire holds, saying such measures were essential to de-escalating tensions and promoting regional stability.

Abu Rudeineh said the Palestinian people would remain on their land despite ongoing Israeli crimes, adding that such actions would neither legitimize the occupation nor impose a fait accompli. He reiterated the demand for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Israeli military operations continued in the West Bank and Gaza despite the declared ceasefire, with Palestinian sources reporting dozens of deaths and the destruction of homes on Saturday and early Sunday.
