Damascus, July 19 (SANA)President Ahmadal-Sharaaissued a series of decisions appointing senior officials to key national security and intelligence posts.

Under the decisions, Interior Minister Eng. Anas Khattab was appointed director of theNational Security Office, in addition to his current duties.

Hussein al-Salamah was appointed deputy director of the National Security Office, while Mulham al-Shantout was named assistantinterior ministerfor security affairs.

Abdul Qader Tahan was also appointed head of theGeneral Intelligence Service.
