These projects are being carried out pursuant to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of March 28, 2024, “On measures to implement the Integrated Rural Development project (Phase II) with the Participation of the Islamic Development Bank”.

It was reported that the effective use of allocated funds during the implementation of the project’s second phase has enabled the expansion of its geographical coverage.

As a result, four additional mahallas in Kasan district were included in the project, with infrastructure facilities of vital importance to residents planned for development.

At the next stage, proposals submitted by mahalla residents were reviewed. This was followed by a technical meeting attended by representatives of the relevant regional and district organizations, as well as specialists from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project team.

During the meeting, the proposed subprojects were analyzed in detail. Particular attention was paid to avoiding duplication with other national and regional programs and to ensuring that the projects comply with applicable regulatory requirements and technical standards.

The participants discussed the stages of subproject implementation and the expected outcomes. Based on these discussions, further actions were identified, and the necessary agreements were reached.
