Israeli occupation forces carry out new incursions into Syria’s Quneitra and Daraa
Quneitra/Daraa, July 18 (SANA)Israeli occupation forces carried out new incursions intosouthern Syriaon Saturday, advancing into the Tal al-Ahmar area in Quneitra province and dropping sound bombs on a road in western Daraa province.
According to SANA’s reporter, five military vehicles advanced from western Tal al-Ahmar inQuneitratoward the summit of eastern Tal al-Ahmar.
In westernDaraa, Israeli forces dropped sound bombs from drones on the Abidin–Maariyah road. No casualties or material damage were reported.
The latest developments came amid continued Israeli military incursions in southern Syria since December 2024. On Friday, an Israeli force advanced toward the Ruwayhina Dam in central Quneitra, while another force of four military vehicles and a bulldozer entered the vicinity of Abidin village in the Yarmouk Basin and removed rocks blocking a road leading to the al-Arda area.
Israel continues to violate the1974 Disengagement Agreementthrough repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests, land bulldozing and shelling.
Syria has consistently called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory and stressed that all Israeli measures in southern Syria are null and void underinternational law. Damascus has repeatedly called on theinternational communityto assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
