La institución castrense, en coordinación con la Delegación Regional, la Delegación Provincial y la Municipalidad de Retiro, han dispuesto la entrega de kits de emergencia y enseres para las familias que se encuentran aisladas.Para concretar la ayuda el Ejército ingresó al sector con dos camiones y personal militar para la correspondiente entrega y ayuda a 9 familias (27 personas, 3 menores de edad y 7 adultos mayores).La institución se encuentra en la zona con vehículos todo terreno y personal disponible para ir en ayuda de compatriotas damnificados. Lo propio han hecho la Armada y la Fuerza Aérea de Chile en otras zonas del país.Si bien hasta ahora no se han reportado daños de gran magnitud específicos para la comuna de Retiro, las autoridades mantienen un monitoreo permanente debido a la posibilidad de caída de árboles, interrupciones del suministro eléctrico y afectación de caminos rurales, mientras continúan las precipitaciones y el viento.El temporal forma parte de un evento de mayor escala que mantiene a la Región del Maule bajo medidas preventivas, incluyendo la suspensión de clases y el despliegue de equipos de emergencia ante la posibilidad de nuevas incidencias durante el desarrollo del sistema frontal.Durante la mañana y parte de la tarde, el Presidente Kast estuvo en la región del Biobío donde sostuvo reuniones de coordinación y dialogó con vecinos de Penco afectados por el sistema frontal.
