Doha, July 18 (SANA)Qatar strongly condemned on Friday the Iranian attack on Iraq’s Kurdistan region, considering it a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and a breach ofinternational law.A statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack represents a “flagrant violation” of the sovereignty of Iraq and theKurdistan region, warning of its wider consequences on regional stability.

The ministry stressed the need to prevent further repercussions from “unjustified” attacks, urging continued reliance on dialogue and diplomacy, along with efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional and international security.

The statement also reaffirmed Doha’s full solidarity withIraqand the Kurdistan region, expressing support for measures taken to protect their sovereignty and security.
