Poland to host the Coalition of the Willing's first military exercises

"The Coalition of the Willing's first military exercises, involving British and French forces, will take place in Poland this autumn. The maneuvers will strengthen allied states' readiness to act together for the security of the region and of Ukraine," Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced in Paris at the close of a meeting of Coalition of the Willing leaders. Poland will also prepare the infrastructure to enable a permanent presence of allied forces on its territory, alongside American forces. The head of government stressed that Europe must take on ever greater responsibility for its own security, and that Poland's role in this process is increasingly recognized. He also announced that our country will remain actively engaged in supporting Ukraine, though no further donations of military equipment are currently planned.

In the face of Russia's aggressive posture, Europe must take on ever greater responsibility for its own security. Yesterday, Donald Tusk took part in a meeting in Paris of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, made up of states supporting Ukraine in its war with Moscow.

By joint decision of the Coalition of the Willing, the first exercises, in which British and French forces will take part, will be held in Poland this autumn. The maneuvers are intended to prepare the Coalition to ensure security in the region and in Ukraine- the Prime Minister emphasized in Paris.

The decision to hold the Coalition of the Willing's first exercises in Poland confirms our country's growing importance in building Europe's security.

Our country's key role is absolutely recognized. I have to say, with great satisfaction, that our place, not only in the Coalition, but also in Europe, is today a truly very significant one- the head of government noted.

Poland will remain actively engaged in supporting Ukraine in cooperation with its NATO allies. At present, however, no further transfers of missiles for Patriot systems are planned.

At this moment I do not foresee new equipment donations to Ukraine. We coordinate everything with our allies, and for as long as I am Prime Minister, Poland will take an active part in the defense against Russia- the Prime Minister stated.

At the same time, Donald Tusk announced that Poland will join the anti-ballistic defense coalition being formed with Ukraine, provided Polish companies present a suitable industrial offer.

Following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, the Prime Minister, at the invitation of the President of France, is observing the parade marking France's National Day. Among those taking part in the procession along the Champs-Élysées are Polish Air Force pilots flying F-16 aircraft.
