17 July 2026Big Push Projects Inspected

On day one of his Resetting Ghana Tour, President Mahama inspected ongoing Big Push projects, including the Asikuma–Anyirawase Highway, the UHAS By-pass, and the Anyirawase–Ho Road.

Accompanied by the Ministers for Roads and Highways, Education, Health, and Transport, the Volta Regional Minister, and other officials, he also toured a multi-purpose, state-of-the-art laboratory project at the Sokode campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).

The project, which is 75% complete, began in 2014 but stalled for eight years under the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government.

Once completed, the 5,300-square-metre facility will accommodate over 1,200 students. It will comprise five blocks, office spaces, a Radiology Simulation Centre, a Physiotherapy Lab, an Anatomy Lab, a Dental Simulation Lab, and a Small Animal Lab.
