The President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, visited Group 10 of the Chilean Air Force in Pudahuel this Thursday, to learn about the air capabilities available to respond to the climate emergency that affects the country. During the visit, the President held a meeting with the authorities present, who presented the air material available to support rescue efforts, carry out air bridges and transport supplies and support personnel in the national territory. Among the available means are Black Hawk and Bell 412 helicopters for rescue and emergency work, and cargo and personnel transport planes for the movement of equipment and essential supplies such as food and medicine. In the instance, the head of State appreciated that the State institutions are coordinated to face the bad weather front: "As you can see, the institutions are operating, and I once again reiterate my thanks to each of the people who make up the Armed Forces, the Police, and also to all those civilians who, from different levels, are collaborating, always directed by the Senapred institution. As a result of the frontal system that affects the country, the Government has ordered the use of all available capacities to support the population. El Presidente de la República, José Antonio Kast, visitó este jueves el Grupo 10 de la Fuerza Aérea de Chile en Pudahuel, para conocer las capacidades aéreas disponibles para responder ante la emergencia climática que afecta al país.Durante la visita, el Mandatario sostuvo una reunión con las autoridades presentes, quienes presentaron el material aéreo disponible para apoyar las labores de rescate, realizar puentes aéreos y trasladar insumos y personal de apoyo en el territorio nacional. Entre los medios disponibles se cuentan helicópteros Black Hawk y Bell 412 para labores de rescate y emergencias, y aviones de transporte de carga y personal para el desplazamiento de equipos e insumos esenciales como alimentos y medicamentos.En la instancia, el jefe de Estado valoró que las instituciones del Estado estén coordinadas para afrontar el frente de mal tiempo: "Como ustedes pueden apreciar, la institucionalidad está operando, y vuelvo a reiterar mis agradecimientos a cada una de las personas que integran las Fuerzas Armadas, las Fuerzas Policiales, y también a todos aquellos civiles que, desde las distintas instancias, están colaborando dirigidos siempre por la institución de Senapred. Nuestra directora nacional ha generado las distintas activaciones, junto al Ministerio del Interior, al subsecretario del Interior, y ha ido disponiendo los distintos medios para que frente a cualquier emergencia podamos reaccionar oportunamente.
