The President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, visited the Chilean Army Infantry School in San Bernardo to learn about the operational capabilities available to respond to the meteorological emergency that affects the country. During the visit, the Commander in Chief of the Army presented to President Kast and Minister Alvarado the operational capacity available to be deployed in emergency episodes throughout the national territory. The activity is part of the comprehensive preventive deployment that the Government has developed during the day, which also included an early visit to Group 10 of the Chilean Air Force in Pudahuel, where the Commander in Chief of the FACh, General Hugo Rodríguez, presented the air means available for rescue work, air bridges and transfer of supplies, including Black Hawk and Bell 412 helicopters and cargo and personnel transport planes, all at SENAPRED's disposal according to the needs of each affected area. Within the framework of the same deployment, the President also made an inspection visit to the Santa Corina Collector in Pudahuel. He was accompanied by the bi-minister of the Interior and General Secretariat of Government, Claudio Alvarado; the substitute minister of National Defense, Christian Bolívar; the director of SENAPRED, Alicia Cebrián; the Commander in Chief of the Army, General Pedro Varela, and the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Leonardo Romanini. El Presidente de la República, José Antonio Kast, visitó la Escuela de Infantería del Ejército de Chile en San Bernardo para conocer las capacidades operativas disponibles para responder ante la emergencia meteorológica que afecta al país. Durante la visita, el Comandante en Jefe del Ejército presentó al Presidente Kast y al biministro Alvarado la capacidad operativa disponible para ser desplegada ante episodios de emergencia en todo el territorio nacional.La actividad se enmarca en el despliegue preventivo integral que el Gobierno ha desarrollado durante la jornada, el que incluyó también una visita temprana al Grupo 10 de la Fuerza Aérea de Chile en Pudahuel, donde el Comandante en Jefe de la FACh, general Hugo Rodríguez, expuso los medios aéreos disponibles para labores de rescate, puentes aéreos y traslado de insumos, entre los que se cuentan helicópteros Black Hawk y Bell 412 y aviones de transporte de carga y personal, todos a disposición de SENAPRED según las necesidades de cada zona afectada.
