Qatar, UAE and Kuwait condemn Iranian attacks on neighboring states

Doha/Abu Dhabi/Kuwait, July 16 (SANA)Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait on Thursday strongly condemned what they described as repeated Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, calling them violations of sovereignty and international law.

In a statement, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry warned that the continued attacks threaten regional security and stability, stressing the need for dialogue, diplomacy and de-escalation to prevent further escalation. It reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait and expressed support for the measures taken by the three countries to safeguard their sovereignty and national security.

The UAE’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the attacks, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law. It reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait and backed the steps taken by the three countries to preserve their security and stability.

Separately, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Jordan, reaffirming Kuwait’s full support for both countries and their efforts to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The statements followed a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks over the past two days targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. The three governments said their air defense systems intercepted and destroyed most of the incoming projectiles and reaffirmed their readiness to confront any threats to their security and sovereignty.F.J./M.Z.
