Ministro de Educación destaca ante el Conep la educación como motor del desarrollo nacional
Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, held a meeting with the board of directors of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), in which he shared the vision that drives the educational portfolio to strengthen the Dominican educational system as an engine of development, social mobility and sustainable growth in the country.
During the meeting, the minister presented the strategy that guides educational transformation, focused on developing the capabilities of students, discovering their talent and creating greater opportunities so that this potential contributes to national progress.
De Camps highlighted that education represents the public policy with the greatest capacity to expand opportunities, reduce gaps and prepare new generations to face the challenges of a world in constant transformation.
In this context, he addressed the importance of working together to strengthen technical-professional education, expand the teaching of English, promote skills for the future, such as artificial intelligence and STEM disciplines, and consolidate training in values, among other important aspects.
Likewise, he highlighted that the development of talent requires a permanent alliance between the State, families, universities, the productive sector and society.
In that sense, he valued Conep's willingness to continue working jointly with the Ministry of Education.
During the meeting, ideas were also exchanged on initiatives that allow for closer ties between the educational system and the different productive sectors, promoting greater opportunities for young people to develop their skills and be able to successfully enter working life, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Minister De Camps reiterated that education constitutes the main investment to build a more competitive country, with greater well-being and shared prosperity, and called to continue strengthening a national alliance that allows developing talent as the main strategic asset of the Dominican Republic.

Asimismo, resaltó que el desarrollo del talento requiere unaalianza permanenteentre el Estado, las familias, las universidades, el sector productivo y la sociedad. En ese sentido, valoró la disposición del Conep de continuartrabajando de manera conjuntacon el Ministerio de Educación. Durante el encuentro, también se intercambiaron ideas sobre iniciativas que permitan estrechar los vínculos entre elsistema educativo y los distintos sectores productivos, promoviendo mayores oportunidades para que los jóvenes desarrollen sus capacidades y puedan incorporarse con éxito ala vida laboral, el emprendimiento y la innovación. El ministro De Camps reiteró que la educación constituye laprincipal inversiónpara construir un paísmás competitivo, con mayorbienestar y prosperidad compartida, y llamó a seguir fortaleciendo una alianza nacional que permita desarrollar el talento como elprincipal activo estratégicode la República Dominicana.
