APSE rechaza espacio de diálogo impulsado por el gobierno
The Government reaffirms its commitment to open, respectful and transparent dialogue with all sectors of the country. Proof of this was the hearing that the President of the Republic, Laura Fernández, held yesterday with the Trade Union Coalition to listen to the concerns of the national teachers.
Three of the four union organizations that make up the joint board attended that meeting: ANDE, SEC and SITRACOME. The only one who did not show up was APSE, even though she signed the request to promote the meeting.
At the very least, it is contradictory that the only organization that rejected the space for dialogue now promotes confrontation and marches, to support issues totally unrelated to the work of the teaching profession.
The Government of the Republic considers that serious and responsible dialogue should always prevail over show business. Those who are genuinely interested in finding solutions know that the conversation table is the right way to go.
This was demonstrated yesterday, after reaching significant agreements for the sector. Among them:
1.Coordinate meetings with the Ministry of Labor to discuss the MEP collective agreement.
2.Analyze the situation regarding the job stability of educators.
3.Review the working conditions of school cafeteria cooks.
4.Review several bills of interest to the education sector.
5.Ensure a dialogue follow-up meeting with educational unions every two months.
The Presidency of the Republic reiterates that the doors of the Presidential House remain open for all organizations that wish to present their positions with respect, responsibility and willingness to build agreements for the benefit of the country and Costa Rican education.

El Gobierno reafirma su compromiso con el diálogo abierto, respetuoso y transparente con todos los sectores del país. Prueba de ello fue la audiencia que sostuvo ayer la Presidente de la República, Laura Fernández, con la Coalición Sindical para escuchar las inquietudes del magisterio nacional. A esa reunión asistieron tres de las cuatro organizaciones sindicales que integran la junta paritaria: ANDE, SEC y SITRACOME. La única que no se presentó fue APSE, pese a que firmó la solicitud para promover la reunión. Como mínimo, resulta contradictorio que la única organización que rechazó el espacio de diálogo ahora promueva la confrontación y las marchas, para respaldar asuntos totalmente ajenos al quehacer del magisterio. El Gobierno de la República considera que el diálogo serio y responsable siempre debe prevalecer sobre el show. Quienes tienen interés genuino en encontrar soluciones saben que la mesa de conversación es el camino correcto. Así se demostró ayer, tras llegar a acuerdos significativos para el sector. Entre ellos: 1.Coordinar reuniones con el ministerio de trabajo para evacuar consultas sobre la convención colectiva del MEP. 2.Analizar la situación sobre la estabilidad laboral de los educadores. 3.Revisar las condiciones laborales de las cocineras de los comedores escolares. 4.Revisar varios proyectos de ley de interés para el sector educativo. 5.Garantizar una reunión de seguimiento del diálogo con los sindicatos educativos cada dos meses. La Presidencia de la República reitera que las puertas de Casa Presidencial continúan abiertas para todas las organizaciones que deseen exponer sus posiciones con respeto, responsabilidad y disposición para construir acuerdos en beneficio del país y de la educación costarricense.
