Damascus, July 16 (SANA)Two people were killed and 17 others injured in trafficaccidentsacross Syria over the past 24 hours, while firefighters extinguished 100 blazes nationwide without reports of civilian casualties, theSyrian Civil Defensesaid on Thursday.

The Civil Defense said its teams responded to nine traffic accidents, providing first aid to the injured, securing the sites and clearing the roads.

Firefightersalso responded to 100 fires, including two in agricultural fields and crops and 98 others involving homes, commercial premises, vegetation, trees, garbage and electrical wiring.

On Tuesday, 13 people were injured in separate traffic accidents and fires to which Civil Defense teams responded across Syria.
