Damascus, July 15 (SANA)Chairman of Federation of SyrianChambers of CommerceAlaa al-Ali, and Chairman of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount-Lebanonsigned a joint cooperation memorandum aimed at developing economic relations between the two countries in addition to enhancing trade and industrial cooperation.

The signing ceremony comes on the sidelines of a meeting held on Wednesday between Syrian Minister of Economy and IndustryNidal al-Shaarand Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Bisat, along with the accompanying delegation, at Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus.

The memo stipulates strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in a way that contributes to boosting trade exchange and activating joint economic events.

It also includes organizing meetings and seminars, encouraging participation in international and specialized exhibitions, exchanging technical and training expertise, in addition to addressing trade-related difficulties through mediation and arbitration mechanisms.
