Syrian, Libyan health officials discuss cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals
Damascus, July 15 (SANA)– Syrian Health Minister,Musab al-Ali, met a Libyan delegation on Wednesday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
The Libyan delegation, headed by Fouzi Onis, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at Libya’s Ministry of Health, held talks with Syrian officials at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions focused on mechanisms for recruiting experienced Syrian medical professionals, with particular emphasis on nursing staff, as well as expanding the exchange of expertise and best practices in medical training, capacity building and healthcare management.
The two sides also explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in pharmaceutical manufacturing and the supply of medicines and medical consumables, aiming to strengthen healthcare integration and improve pharmaceutical security in both countries.
Al-Ali stressed the importance of broadening cooperation in healthcare andpharmaceuticalswhile expanding partnerships in other strategic areas of the health sector.
