According to the organizers, the summer school program is designed for the period from July 12 to 18. On the first day, the participants visited the city of Ganja, where they visited several historical and cultural attractions, including the mausoleum and museum of the outstanding Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, as well as the Ganja Memorial Complex.
During the tour, the students were informed about the life and work of Nizami Ganjavi, his literary and philosophical heritage, and his contribution to world literature. They were also introduced to events held in honor of the poet’s 885th birthday and international initiatives to promote his work.
It was noted that the Ganja Memorial Complex was created to perpetuate the memory of victims killed during the 44-day Patriotic War and preserve the historical memory of these events.
During the week, summer school participants will enjoy concert programs, cultural events, as well as visits to museums, historical-cultural monuments and other sites reflecting the history and modern development of Azerbaijan.
The project aims at expanding the knowledge of Uzbekistan youth about the history and culture of Azerbaijan and developing cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
