13 injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria over past 24 hours

Damascus, July 15 (SANA)Thirteen people were injured intraffic accidents and firesacross Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Wednesday, as teams responded to dozens of incidents nationwide.

According to theSyrian Civil Defense, emergency crews responded to 12 traffic accidents that left 10 civilians injured. Teams provided first aid, transported the injured to hospitals for treatment, cleared accident sites and secured the affected areas.

Firefightersalso responded to 170 fires across the country, including blazes affecting agricultural fields and crops, homes, commercial properties, vegetation, trees, garbage and electrical infrastructure.

The fires injured three people—one civilian and two firefighters—while the remaining damage was limited to property losses. Civil Defense teams extinguished the fires and carried out cooling operations to prevent them from reigniting.

On Tuesday, one person was killed and 27 others were injured in separate fires and traffic accidents across Syria, according to the Civil Defense.
