GCC, Egypt condemn Iranian attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

Riyadh/Cairo, July 15 (SANA) The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) andEgypton Wednesday condemned Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain,Kuwaitand Jordan, warning that the strikes represent a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability.

In a statement,GCCSecretary-General Jassem Mohamed Al Budaiwi said the attacks, which targeted critical infrastructure and vital facilities, constituted an unprecedented escalation and a clear violation of international law and norms.

He warned that continued attacks risk dragging the region into greater instability and urged the international community to take effective measures to deter furtherIranian attacksand hold those responsible accountable.

Al Budaiwi said attacks on critical infrastructure threaten not only the countries targeted but regional security as a whole. He reaffirmed the GCC’s full solidarity withBahrain, Kuwait andJordanand its support for all measures they are taking to safeguard their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

In a separate statement, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Iranian attacks, describing them as a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three countries and a dangerous escalation that could further destabilize the region.

The ministry reiterated Egypt’s rejection of any actions that could widen the conflict or undermine regional security, calling for respect for international law and state sovereignty. It also expressed full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan and backed the measures they are taking to protect their security and stability.

Iran has continued launching missile and drone attacks against several Arab and regional countries, resulting in casualties and damage to infrastructure.
