The Minister for Defence, Helen McEntee TD, has welcomed the reappointment by the President, on the advice of the Government, of Mr. Alan Mahon as Ombudsman for the Defence Forces for a further 8 months.

Mr. Mahon was first appointed as Ombudsman for the Defence Forces on the 6 July 2018.

The President has reappointed Mr. Mahon in his role until 31 March 2027.

Minister McEntee today, congratulated Mr. Mahon on his reappointment.
