Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Meets with Former U.S. Ambassadors to Iraq in Washington ………. Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met with a group of former U.S. ambassadors to Iraq, in Washington, D.C. During the meeting, they discussed Iraqi-U.S. relations and ways to further develop them across various fields, as well as developments in Iraq and the region and the importance of strengthening cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their two friendly peoples. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi affirmed that Iraq looks forward to building balanced and sustainable relations with the United States based on mutual interests and mutual respect. He noted that the government is moving forward with implementing its program aimed at consolidating security and stability, strengthening the rule of law, combating corruption, and advancing development and economic reform. The Prime Minister also listened to the former ambassadors’ perspectives on the future of relations between Iraq and the United States, drawing on their diplomatic experience in Iraq. He stressed the importance of benefiting from their expertise to enhance mutual understanding and broaden the prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
