Shusha, July 14 (SANA)Syrian Information MinisterKhaled Zaarourmet Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the media and information sector on the sidelines of theShusha Global Media Forum.

According to Syria’s Ministry of Information, Zaarour praised Azerbaijan’s support for Syria’s unity and territorial integrity during the meeting.

Hajiyev welcomed the Syrian minister’s participation in the forum and invited him to attend the meeting of information ministers of theOrganization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan next year.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Information Minister Mohammed Tofran and Mahmoud Al-Hajji Othman, Director of International Cooperation at the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

Zaarour is participating in the fourth edition of the Shusha Global Media Forum, hosted by the Azerbaijani city of Shusha on July 13-14.
