We just laugh at the criticisms made by poor people who beg their interlocutors for a "five-minute meeting" just to get on the agenda. Alienation is bad, but being alienated or even hostile to one's own country, one's own nation, is much worse. As I always say, the Republic of Turkey is the common state of all of us. No matter what party, opinion or origin we are, we are all citizens of this state and members of this beloved nation. What is good for Turkey is good, useful and auspicious for all of us. Turkey's success is the success of all 86 million people. Turkey's problem is the problem of all of us, without exception. We do not find it right to use national issues as a tool for ideological fights and political polemics.
