Israeli occupation forces raid village in southern Syria
Quneitra, July 14 (SANA)Israeli occupation forces entered the village of al-Basali in Syria’ssouthern Quneitracountryside before dawn on Tuesday, searched several civilian homes before withdrawing.SANA’s reporter in the province said the force, accompanied by several military vehicles, carried out house searches in the village before leaving the area.The latest incursion came a day after Israeli forces, using three military vehicles, entered the area between thevillage of Ofaniyaandthe town of Khan Arnabehin northern Quneitra countryside, where they set up a temporary checkpoint and searched passersby before withdrawing.Israel continues to violatethe 1974 Disengagement Agreementthrough repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests, land bulldozing and artillery shelling.Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void under international law. Damascus has also urged the international community to uphold its responsibilities, halt Israeli violations and ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from southern Syria.
