This has been announced by an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Murat Dzhumatayev, at a press conference at the Kabar Agency devoted to the results of the third Forum of Academicians of the SCO Countries.
According to him, the forum has become a platform for the exchange of experience between scientists from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan on the development of green energy. He noted that China holds a leading position in the use of solar and wind energy, and cooperation with Chinese partners opens up additional opportunities for the introduction of advanced technologies in the countries of the region.
As Murat Dzhumatayev emphasized, Kyrgyzstan has significant potential for expanding the use of renewable energy sources due to favorable natural conditions. Among the priority areas, he named the improvement of technologies for the accumulation and storage of electricity, which will increase the efficiency of using solar and wind generation.
The academician also stressed that the project is being implemented in Baliqchi to build a 1,900 MW solar power plant, which will become one of the largest renewable energy facilities in the country.
