Damascus, July.13 (SANA)Syria’sNational Transitional Justice Commissionreviewed ways to exchange expertise and strengthen cooperation in training and capacity-building during a coordination meeting with the International Jurists Union on Monday.

The discussions focused on supporting the development of the commission’s institutional performance and enabling it to carry out its mandate in accordance with international standards and recognized best practices.

The National Transitional Justice Commission was established under Presidential Decree No. 20 of 2025 as an independent body with legal personality and financial and administrative autonomy.

It operates throughout Syrian territory at governmental, community and international levels as part of a process aimed at upholding justice and accountability, uncovering the truth, providing reparations and preventing the recurrence of violations.
