Presidente Mulino viaja a México para encuentro con Sheinbaum
During this visit, the Panamanian president will also hold a meeting with 23 representatives of important Mexican companies interested in the opportunities that Panama offers.-
The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, will travel to Mexico this Tuesday in response to an official invitation from the Mexican President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Both will hold a working meeting this Wednesday at the National Palace to address issues on the bilateral agenda, including trade, investments, agriculture, security, customs and cooperation.
Mulino, who will travel accompanied by the first lady, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, highlighted the importance of the relationship between Mexico and Panama, nations between which there are important business investments.
During the Mulino-Sheinbaum meeting, new bilateral agreements will be signed and Panama's possible accession to an aerospace agreement for Latin America and the Caribbean.
President Mulino's agenda includes a meeting with 23 important Mexican companies interested in expanding their operations in Panama or establishing themselves for the first time in the Panamanian market, taking advantage of the logistical and service advantages to access other markets in the region.
On this visit, President Mulino will also be accompanied by the Chancellor, Javier Martínez Acha; Ministers Julio Moltó (Commerce and Industries), Roberto Linares (Agricultural Development) and José Ramón Icaza (Canal Affairs); in addition to the Secretary of Economic Affairs and Competitiveness, Kristelle Getzler.

Ambos sostendrán este miércoles una reunión de trabajo en el Palacio Nacional para abordar temas de la agenda bilateral, entre ellos el intercambio comercial, inversiones, agro, seguridad, aduanas y cooperación. Mulino, quien viajará acompañado de la primera dama, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, destacó la importancia de la relación entre México y Panamá, naciones entre las que existen importantes inversiones empresariales. Durante el encuentro Mulino-Sheinbaum se suscribirán nuevos acuerdos bilaterales y la posible adhesión de Panamá a un acuerdo aeroespacial para Latinoamérica y el Caribe. La agenda del presidente Mulino incluye un encuentro con 23 importantes empresas mexicanas interesadas en ampliar sus operaciones en Panamá o establecerse por primera vez en el mercado panameño, aprovechando las ventajas logísticas y de servicios para acceder a otros mercados de la región. En esta visita, el presidente Mulino también será acompañado por el canciller, Javier Martínez Acha; los ministros Julio Moltó (Comercio e Industrias), Roberto Linares (Desarrollo Agropecuario) y José Ramón Icaza (Asuntos del Canal); además de la Secretaria de Asuntos Económicos y Competitividad, Kristelle Getzler.
