Syrian parliament’s presidential bureau holds first meeting, discusses upcoming agenda
Damascus, July 13 (SANA)– The presidential bureau of Syria’s People’s Assembly held its first meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of Speaker Abdul Hamid al-Awak to discuss the parliament’s agenda for the next phase.
According to a statement by the Assembly, the meeting reviewed preparations for the next parliamentary session, discussed the mechanism for selecting a committee to draft the Assembly’s internal bylaws, and considered arrangements for organizing future sessions.
The bureau also discussed logistical and administrative arrangements for Assembly members to ensure the efficient and orderly launch of parliamentary work and provide the necessary conditions for carrying out the legislature’s duties.
The meeting follows the inaugural session of thePeople’s Assemblywhich was held on Sunday and attended by PresidentAhmad al-Sharaa.
