Ministerio de Interior y Policía fortalece la prevención y la convivencia comunitaria mediante jornadas interinstitucionales “Garantía de Paz en tu Comunidad”
Santo Domingo.-The Ministry of the Interior and Police continues to bring essential services, guidance and concrete responses to communities in vulnerable conditions through the "Guarantee of Peace in your Community" prevention sessions, an initiative aimed at preventing violence, in addition to promoting social inclusion, peaceful coexistence and collective well-being.
During the current year 2026, six conferences have been held that took place in Las Uvas (La Vega), La Ciénaga, Villas Agrícolas and Los Guandules (National District), El Seibo and San Francisco de Macorís, to benefit nearly 5,000 people.
As part of the community interventions, actions have been carried out to recover and condition public spaces, deliver sports equipment, educational activities and training aimed at strengthening peaceful coexistence, inclusion, community leadership and the culture of peace.
The conferences are developed through the coordination of different public institutions, security organizations and social entities, which integrate their capacities to offer concrete and timely solutions to the population. Among the institutions that participate in a confirmed manner are the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa), the National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep), the National Council for the Aging (Conape), the Supérate program, the Neighborhood Commission, the Ministry of Labor, through its actions for the eradication of child labor, the Vocational School of the Armed Forces and the National Police, as well as the recruitment areas of the Armed Forces and the National Police.
“Guarantee of Peace in your Community” represents a concrete way to deconstruct security from prevention, listening to people, bringing services closer and responding in an articulated way to the needs of each territory.
Through this program, the Ministry of the Interior and Police reaffirms its commitment to promoting public policies aimed at preventing violence, reducing risk factors and strengthening safer, more inclusive and peaceful communities.

A través de este programa, el Ministerio de Interior y Policía reafirma su compromiso con el impulso depolíticas públicas orientadas a la prevención de la violencia, la reducción defactores de riesgoy el fortalecimiento decomunidades más seguras, inclusivas y pacíficas.
