Daraa, July 11 (SANA)Three firefighters from theDaraaDirectorate of Emergencies and Disaster Management were injured on Saturday when their fire engine overturned while responding to an emergency call on the road linking the city of al-Harah and the town of Zamrin in the northern countryside of Daraa province.

Ahmad al-Hajer, commander of operations for the southern region at theDirectorate of Emergencies and Disaster Management, told SANA that the fire engine was involved in a traffic accident while en route to the incident, leaving three crew members with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

He said local residents transported one of the injured firefighters to al-Harah Hospital, while an ambulance from the al-Sanamayn emergency center transferred the other two to al-Sanamayn Hospital for treatment.

Al-Hajer said all three firefighters were in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical care.

He stressed that the accident would not affect the readiness of emergency teams, adding that the directorate continues to respond to emergency calls and incidents across Daraa province.
