Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt and UAE emphasize peaceful resolution of regional crises

Riyadh/Cairo, July.11 (SANA)Saudi Foreign MinisterPrinceFaisal bin Farhanand Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar affirmed the importance of supporting mediation efforts and the resumption of US-Iran talks as part of broader efforts to achieve peaceful solutions to regional challenges.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two ministers discussed, during a telephone conversation on Saturday, the latest developments amid the ongoing regional escalation. They emphasized the need to de-escalate tensions and intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve comprehensive and peaceful solutions that enhance regional and international security and stability.

The talks came after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation on Friday with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which they reviewed regional and international developments and efforts aimed at promoting peace and security across the region.

Earlier on Saturday, Prince Faisal also discussed current regional developments with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a separate phone call.

Egyptian, UAE foreign ministers discuss regional developments and maritime security

Egyptian Foreign MinisterBadr Abdelattyand UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister SheikhAbdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyandiscussed the latest regional developments and ongoing challenges during a telephone conversation on Saturday.

According to a statement issued by Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, the ministers reviewed several issues of mutual concern, including developments related to the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, international maritime security, and the situations in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

The two ministers reaffirmed the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultations on regional issues in support of peace, security and stability.

They also welcomed the continued momentum in bilateral relations across various sectors and stressed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in ways that serve the interests of both countries.

Abdelatty emphasized the importance of building on ongoing de-escalation efforts to reduce regional tensions while stressing the need to take into account the security concerns of the Gulf states, describing their security and stability as an integral part of the broader Arab national security framework.
