Desarrollo Provincial inicia construcción de bajo techo y estación policial en Santo Domingo Oeste
Santo Domingo.-The Provincial Development Directorate has started construction work on the under-roof construction of the Hato Nuevo sector, as well as a new police station in Batey Bienvenido, two works that will contribute to the strengthening of the social and security infrastructure of the Santo Domingo Oeste municipality.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of projects that will significantly impact the quality of life of the residents of both communities, through the creation of spaces for sports, social integration and citizen security.
The indoor facility will be built in an area of 2,456.47 square meters and will directly benefit more than 1,500 inhabitants of the Hato Nuevo sector, including children, adolescents, young people and adults who use these facilities for sports and community activities.
The work includes a covered basketball court with a metal structure and a high-quality synthetic board surface, equipped with stands for spectators. In addition, it will have bathrooms, changing rooms, a cafeteria, a ticket office for access control and a multipurpose room for social, cultural and community activities. The project also includes perimeter fencing, sidewalks and curbs in the exterior area.
During the day, the authorities also broke ground for the construction of a new police station in the Batey Bienvenido sector, a work that will have an execution area of 165.40 square meters and will be equipped with functional spaces to guarantee efficient attention to citizens and better working conditions for law enforcement officers.
The station will have prisons for men and women, bedrooms for women and men, bathrooms, weapons storage, reception, waiting room, office for receiving complaints, commander's department, Criminal Investigation Department (Dicrim) and bedroom for the commander.
At the conclusion of the activity, the director of the Provincial Development Directorate, Ángel de la Cruz, stated that these works respond to the Government's commitment to continue promoting projects that generate well-being and opportunities for the communities.

El proyecto también incluye verja perimetral, aceras y contenes en el área exterior. Durante la jornada, las autoridades también dieron el primer palazo para la construcción de unanueva estación policial en el sector Batey Bienvenido, una obra que contará con un área de ejecución de165.40 metros cuadradosy estará equipada con espacios funcionales para garantizar unaatención eficientea la ciudadanía y mejores condiciones de trabajo para los agentes del orden. La estación dispondrá de cárceles para hombres y mujeres, dormitorios para damas y caballeros, baños, depósito de armas, recepción, sala de espera, oficina para recepción de denuncias, departamento del comandante,Departamento de Investigación Criminal(Dicrim) y dormitorio para el comandante.
