ETED realizará mantenimiento de la línea de transmisión eléctrica este sábado en Barahona
Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) reported that this Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., will carry out preventive maintenance and replacement of deteriorated structures on the 69 kV Cruce de Cabral 2 – AcueductoSur-Oeste transmission line, as part of the actions to strengthen the transmission infrastructure and guarantee safer and more efficient operation of the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI).
As part of these tasks, it will be necessary to interrupt the electrical service in the community of Vicente Noble, belonging to the Barahona province. Likewise, the South-West aqueduct, the María Montez International Airport (Barahona) and the Canoa solar park will be impacted.
The ETED appreciates the understanding of the citizens and the institutions involved while carrying out these works, aimed at strengthening the reliability of the transmission system, preventing future breakdowns and offering a more efficient electrical service.
As responsible for the transportation of high-voltage energy and the expansion of the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI), the institution reaffirms its commitment as an enabler of the energy and digital transition of the Dominican Republic.
