The parties discussed the effective organization of the process. The monitoring is being conducted by experts from the OECD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, as well as Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania.
The assessment analyzes the work carried out in 2025 across nine priority areas, including anti-corruption policy, conflicts of interest, asset declarations, protection of whistleblowers, integrity in business and public procurement, the independence of the judiciary and prosecution service, specialized anti-corruption institutions, and liability for corruption-related offenses.
At the official opening of the event, particular attention was paid to the legislative and institutional reforms implemented in recent years. As part of the monitoring process, international experts will also focus on reforms aimed at developing the compliance control system.
Following the first stage of monitoring under the Istanbul Action Plan, conducted in 2024, the country’s anti-corruption policy received the highest assessment among the Central Asian states. Based on the results of the current monitoring, international experts are expected to develop new recommendations and proposals for technical assistance to Uzbekistan.
