Recaudaciones de Aduanas aumentan RD 3,290 millones durante el primer semestre de 2026
Santo Domingo.-The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) collected RD 129,236 million during the first half of 2026, a figure that implies a growth of 2.6% and an absolute increase of RD 3,290 million compared to the same period last year, despite a more challenging scenario due to the impact on foreign trade caused by geopolitical tensions.
During last June, the DGA's income amounted to RD 24,162 million, an amount that represents a year-on-year increase of 15.4% when compared to the same month in 2025, equivalent to an additional RD 3,225 million.
A fact that we must highlight is that when carrying out the analysis we found the highest grossing day in history, with RD 1,880.91 million, surpassing the previous record of RD 1,853.72 million, reached in 2022.
The director of Customs, Nelson Arroyo, when referring to the positive balance of income during the first half of the year, declared that this increase in collections of the entity he directs is the product of the commitment assumed to continue promoting initiatives aimed at facilitating and expediting the clearance of goods in the country's ports and airports. As an example of this, he indicated that between January and June 2026, containers imported under the consumption regime registered an increase of 1.5% compared to the same period in 2025, which, although it is a moderate figure, was achieved in the midst of an adverse international context.
“In this context, the results reflect the efforts to improve collection management and customs control, as well as the limitations imposed by a complex external environment that conditions the performance of foreign trade,” said the head of the DGA.

El director de Aduanas,Nelson Arroyo,al referirse al balance positivo de los ingresos durante la primera mitad del año, declaró que este aumento en las recaudaciones de la entidad que dirige es producto del compromiso asumido de continuar impulsando iniciativas dirigidas afacilitar y agilizar el despacho de mercancíasen los puertos y aeropuertos del país. Como muestra de ello, indicó que entre enero y junio de 2026 los contenedores importados bajo el régimen de consumo registraron unincremento de 1.5 %en comparación con el mismo período de 2025 que, aunque es una cifra moderada, fue lograda en medio de un contexto internacional adverso. “En este contexto, los resultados reflejan los esfuerzos de mejora en la gestión recaudadora y control aduanero, como las limitaciones impuestas por un entorno externo complejo que condicional desempeño del comercio exterior”,expresó el titular de la DGA.
