Presidente Mulino entrega 80 viviendas y 125 títulos de propiedad a familias de Bocas del Toro
Some 125 land titles, benefiting 500 people and 80 housing solutions, for the benefit of families in Bocas del Toro, were delivered by the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, as part of the work day for Changuinola, the main district of this province.
The delivery of keys to these new homes, built by the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (Miviot), benefits a population of 400 people identified through social evaluations due to their critical habitability conditions, mainly by residing in wooden houses in poor condition.
In a formal ceremony held in the inaugurated Sports City, President Mulino, accompanied by the first lady, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, and the Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning, Jaime Jované, presented the certificates of housing benefits, works that offer them a decent way of life.
At this event, President Mulino highlighted that these deliveries are an act of solidarity with those who need it most. In this scenario, he announced that he gave instructions for a new home to be built for the family of the minor who died during the recent floods.
"I have given the order to build her family a new home with the intention of collaborating in the midst of so much pain. The ground has already been found and is being leveled to begin the work as soon as possible. I reiterate my deepest condolences to her grandfather, who raised her, and to her loved ones," highlighted President Mulino.
The president highlighted that on Isla Colón progress is being made in the sanitation project, which will improve the quality of life of the residents and generate tourist infrastructure to attract more visitors.
The houses delivered consist of two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, laundry and a hygienic bathroom with a septic tank. In addition, the residences have two types of measurements: 47 and 50 square meters, the latter adapted for people with disabilities.
The 80 housing solutions belong to a contract for 300 units for Changuinola for B/.8.5 million, of which 80 had been partially delivered, while 40 are under construction and another 100 to begin.
Claudio Arango, 88, and his wife Neomicia Nicolla, 72, were among the beneficiaries who thanked the president for his support. Rebeca Verbois, 60 years old and resident in the community of Los Sin Tierra, is another beneficiary; She lived in overcrowded conditions with her four children and her husband.
In this same act, 125 property titles granted by the National Land Administration Authority (ANATI) were delivered, directly benefiting some 500 people, who now have peace of mind and legal support for the land that for years they have worked, inhabited and converted into their families' heritage.
The titling of these properties constitutes an important step to strengthen legal security, promote the economic and social development of communities and open new opportunities so that beneficiaries can access financing, invest in their properties and guarantee a better future for next generations.

En este acto, el presidente Mulino destacó que estas entregas son un acto de solidaridad con quienes más lo necesitan. En ese escenario, anunció que dio las instrucciones para que se le construya un nuevo hogar a la familia de la menor fallecida durante las recientes inundaciones. “He dado la orden de construirle, a su familia, un nuevo hogar con la intención de colaborar en medio de tanto dolor. Ya se encontró el terreno y se está nivelando para empezar cuanto antes con la obra. Reitero mi sentido pésame a su abuelo, quien la criaba, y a sus seres queridos”, resaltó el presidente Mulino. El mandatario destacó que en Isla Colón se avanza en el proyecto de saneamiento, lo que va a mejorar la calidad de vida de los moradores y a generar infraestructura turística para atraer más visitantes. Las casas entregadas constan de dos recámaras, sala-comedor, cocina, lavandería y un baño higiénico con tanque séptico. Además, las residencias tienen dos tipos de medidas: 47 y 50 metros cuadrados, estas últimas adaptadas para personas con discapacidad. Las 80 soluciones habitacionales pertenecen a un contrato de 300 unidades para Changuinola por B/.8.5 millones, de las cuales se habían entregado de manera parcial 80, mientras que 40 están en construcción y otras 100 por iniciar. Claudio Arango, de 88 años, y su esposa Neomicia Nicolla, de 72, fueron parte de los beneficiarios quienes agradecieron al mandatario por el apoyo. Rebeca Verbois, de 60 años y residente en la comunidad de Los Sin Tierra, es otra beneficiaria; ella vivía en condiciones de hacinamiento con sus cuatro hijos y su esposo. En este mismo acto, se entregaron 125 títulos de propiedad otorgados por la Autoridad Nacional de Administración de Tierras (ANATI), beneficiando de forma directa a unas 500 personas, quienes ahora cuentan con la tranquilidad y el respaldo legal sobre los terrenos que durante años han trabajado, habitado y convertido en el patrimonio de sus familias. La titulación de estas propiedades constituye un paso importante para fortalecer la seguridad jurídica, promover el desarrollo económico y social de las comunidades y abrir nuevas oportunidades para que los beneficiarios puedan acceder a financiamiento, invertir en sus propiedades y garantizar un mejor futuro para las próximas generaciones.
