DGM emite 5,603 permisos digitales de viaje para menores en un solo mes
Santo Domingo.- During the trial period of the 100% digital departure service for minors, the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) issued a total of 5,603 completely free travel certifications, consolidating this pilot plan (public beta) as one of the user experiences with the greatest impact, in the midst of the process of technological transformation and modernization of the Dominican State.
The digitization of the service had the technical support of the Bureaucracy Zero program and the advice of Public Digital, under the guidelines of the National Competitiveness Council (CNC), who contributed to simplifying processes and reducing response times to citizens, on the eve of summer vacations, when children travel with their parents and family.
During the public beta that began last Thursday, May 28 and lasted for a month, the DGM answered a total of 20,755 calls from its Call Center, of which 17,377 (83.72%) were related to the services of the minor's permit, a growth stimulated by the ease of attaching, digitally and free of charge, the documents required by current regulations.
Of the 17,377 received, some 7,463 corresponded to users who did not meet the application requirements of the 100% digital service, so they were directed to obtain the traditional permit which, in the trial period, reached the sum of 12,139 travel certifications.
In addition, interactions on social networks went from 1,705 in May to 8,104 in June, an increase of 6,399 interactions that reflect a growth of 375.3%, especially through Instagram, a social network that concentrated 95% of attendance and where audiovisual instructions were promoted, with the process step by step.
The 100% Digital Public Beta was only available during the institution's business days. However, the DGM increased its ability to respond to those who had concerns outside normal business hours and on weekends, via social networks.
